Safe zone checker

Drop a video or image and preview it at 9:16, the frame TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels actually show. Toggle each app's top bar, caption band, and right-side buttons. The file never leaves this browser.

UI overlays
  • TikTok. Top bar 240px, caption 660px, side edges 120px. Buttons are a 300px rail from 840px down.
  • YouTube Shorts. Top bar 288px, caption 672px, left 48px, right 192px.
  • Instagram Reels. Top bar 269px (14%), caption 672px (35%), left 65px (6%), right 65px (6%).

These margins are approximate. They follow published ad safe zones on a 1080×1920 frame: TikTok's in-feed template, Meta's Reels percentages, and Google's vertical video diagram. Phone UI moves, and a long caption covers more of the bottom. Meta's 6% side margin does not include the whole Reels button rail, which is often wider than 65px.

1080×1920, transparent outside the zones that are turned on.
